The American University in Cairo has granted Dalia Ibrahim, CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House, the School of Business Alumni award for 2017. The award comes as recognition of Dalia’s success throughout her career life. Being a holder of a B.A. in Business Administration (1993 – with Honors), and a Master’s Degree of Public Administration (1999) and an Executive MBA (2014) all from the AUC, Dalia can be named as a true AUC Alumni.
Dalia joined Nahdet Misr in 1994 and with exceptional zeal and dedication she was able to achieve several milestones for the company. In 1998, she established two companies within Nahdet Misr Group, namely Nahdet Misr for Digital Solutions and Nahdet Misr for Advertising. Moreover, in 2004, she established Nahdet Misr Periodicals; becoming the sole distributer of Disney and National Geographic publications in Egypt and the Arab world.
Thanks to her numerous achievements, in 2011, Dalia was chosen by Nahdte Misr Board of Directors to become the CEO of Nahdet Misr Publishing House.
Driven by a sense of commitment to the society, Dalia volunteers to serve as a mentor or a judge to start-up projects of young entrepreneurs which triggered her to later initiate the establishment of EdVentures, the first corporate venture capital specialized in education in the MENA region.
During the honoring event, Dalia gave an inspiring speech for the graduating students sharing with them her experience in work and life in general.
