“Cambridge Day” A First-of-a-Kind Educational Event Organized by Nahdet Misr Publishing House Depicting Cambridge’s Unique “Better Learning” Approach in Egypt

Nahdet Misr Publishing House, the exclusive distributer of Cambridge University Press (CUP) and an authorized center of Cambridge Assessment English in Egypt, has recently organized a “Cambridge Day” event. The event showcased the latest bespoke tools and solutions Cambridge offers to empower future generations to succeed in an ever-changing world.
The event brought together over 200 schools’ Principals, Directors, Heads of English Departments and English Teachers under one roof to learn more about Cambridge’s unique approach, qualifications and educational resources.
Dalia Ibrahim, CEO of Nahdet Misr commented on this significant event saying “For the past 80 years, Nahdet Misr has played a leading role in the enhancement of the educational process in Egypt and the Arab world, and by organizing this key event with our close partners; Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment, we continue our commitment to this cause; ensuring the constant enhancement of the learning process”. The event started with a talk by Fahed Al Hussaini; Regional Director of International Education Middle East and North Africa (CUP) who introduced Cambridge University Press’s approach “Better Learning, Better Thinking” and how Cambridge is constantly working with teachers and ministries to understand the classroom, introducing practical approaches to pedagogy, underpinned by research, accelerating learning in the classroom, and building skills for life.
Julian Eynon; Head of Sales, ELT – Gulf & Middle East (CUP) illustrated Cambridge’s process in developing richer content and learning tools in different formats that lead to the empowerment of both the teachers and the students. Afterwards, George Hanna; Senior Business Development Manager, Cambridge Assessment English, explained how Cambridge Assessment offers globally recognised qualifications and educational programs that give learners the confidence to demonstrate their English language proficiency and fulfill their potential. Moreover, Mr. Hanna highlighted that Cambridge Assessment provides educational programs and exams in 170 countries and to more than 20,000 institutions worldwide. Maye El Hadad, Educational Consultant, Cambridge Assessment International Education, gave a talk about the different services that CAIE offer in Egypt.
To wrap up the event, Peter Lucantoni; the renowned author and educational consultant, shared his insights on how to keep the strengths of young learners while ensuring relevance to the evolving needs of learners and schools, and how the integration of the full-fledged solution of books and the assessment fulfills “Better Learning”.
At the end, Nahdet Misr announced that its educational team will be conducting several visits and campaigns in Cairo and other governorates to allow different educational institutes, schools and business corporations benefit from the diversified and unique educational programs offered by Cambridge Assessment and CUP.
